In order to enhance drug prevention education and raise students' awareness and ability to identify, prevent and resist drugs, and to build a solid defense against drugs on campus, on November 25th, the International Education School of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law organized a visit to the Wuhan Optics Valley New Psychoactive Substances Education and Publicity Base. The activity was led by counselors Zhu Yajie and Li Jiaqi, with over 20 international student representatives participating.
Under the guidance of professional guides at the base, the students visited various exhibition areas in sequence. The exhibition, through detailed textual and graphic materials, realistic simulation samples, vivid video images and interactive experience equipment, systematically introduced the evolution process, common types, huge harms and relevant laws and regulations of new psychoactive substances and other types of drugs. The guides, combining real cases, deeply analyzed the severe damage caused by drugs to personal physical and mental health, family happiness and social stability, especially the strong disguise and hidden harm of new types of drugs, which sounded the alarm for the students.
This visit to the Wuhan Optics Valley New Psychoactive Substances Education and Publicity Base effectively enhanced the drug prevention knowledge and awareness of international students, laying a solid foundation for building a safe and harmonious campus. The school will continue to carry out various forms of safety education activities to safeguard the healthy growth of students.
