On the evening of November 16th, the Glorious Ceremony, Excellent Works Exhibition and Celebrity Recitation Concert of the 4th "Sound Nourishes Jingchu" Hubei Provincial Public Recitation Contest were grandly held at Wuhan Linkong Port Grand Theater. Students and teachers from the International Education College of our university won multiple awards in this event, and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law earned the "Organization Award".

The "Sound Nourishes Jingchu" Hubei Provincial Public Recitation Contest is co-guided by Hubei Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and Hubei Provincial Working Committee on Children and Youth, and sponsored by Hubei Provincial Reciters Association. Since its launch in June this year, the event has received extensive attention, attracting nearly 10,000 recitation enthusiasts from various industries to participate. After professional evaluation and fierce competition, a range of awards and excellent works were finally selected.
In this contest, the students of ZUEL stood out with their solid language skills, full emotional expression and unique artistic charm. Among them, Hu Yuhan, an undergraduate student from Hong Kong, China; ROMEO CHILLA MOKOM, a Cameroonian postgraduate student; BUJINLKHAM JAMBALDORJ, a Mongolian undergraduate student; ELIZAVETA KONONOVA, a Russian undergraduate student; SUNDAY CHISOM NNABUIKE, a Nigerian postgraduate student; and NAANA NHYIRA BIMPONG-DONKOR, a Ghanaian student receiving the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship, were awarded the title of "Sound Nourishes Recitation Golden Star". Five instructors from IES, namely Wu Shasha, Wu Ming, Li Muzi, Xiong Mei and Xu Jiatong, were awarded the "Bole Award" (a title honoring outstanding mentors).



Hu Yuhan (Hong Kong, China), BUJINLKHAM JAMBALDORJ (Mongolia), SUNDAY CHISOM NNABUIKE (Nigeria) and SIU NAY H' NHUNG (Vietnam), students of ZUEL, were invited to step onto the stage of the glorious ceremony. They performed alongside renowned figures in the industry in the excellent works exhibition and celebrity recitation concert. They jointly recited the classic poem Chinese Language by contemporary poet Wu Xiaofeng. With their cadenced tones and sincere emotions, they vividly interpreted the rhythmic beauty and cultural connotation of the Chinese language, deeply expressing their love for Chinese and recognition of Chinese culture, which won waves of applause and wide praise from the on-site audience.

ZUEL have achieved excellent results in the "Sound Nourishes Jingchu" Public Recitation Contest for four consecutive years. IES encourages students to actively participate in such cultural activities, and the Chinese Language Teaching and Research Section provides guidance and support for both Chinese and international students, striving to enhance the quality of talent cultivation while inheriting the excellent traditional Chinese culture and spreading the voice of China.
