Notice on the Evaluation of Designated Scholarship for International Students in 2024-2025

In order to cultivate and motivate excellent international students, and exert the educational value of good examples, our university will evaluate Designated Scholarship for international students in 2024-2025 according to Management Measures of International Students Scholarship of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and other documents. The relevant details are notified as follows:

I. Review object

The evaluation objects of the International Student Scholarship are all individual and group international students in our school.

II. Review principles

This evaluation adheres to the principles of "fairness, impartiality, and openness", strictly implements the evaluation criteria, and aims to effectively select outstanding international students who have shown outstanding performance and can set an example.

1.Basic conditions

1.1Respect China's sovereignty and territorial integrity; Respect Chinese national customs and respect teachers;

1.2 Abiding by the laws and regulations of China and rules of the university; Be on the straight and have no violations of law and discipline;

1.3 Studying hard and diligently, with excellent academic performance.

2.Additional Requirements

2.1 “Academic ZUEL” Scholarship for Research Innovation

Application is open to international students individuals or teams studying for a degree in ZUEL. Applicants should submit their research achievements, which can be published papers, monographs or other achievements, achieved by themselves or their teams in the previous academic year at the university. Each achievement can only be recognized once. If the achievement is jointly accomplished by 2 or more international students studying in our university, the application will be made in a team, and the application cannot be repeated by individuals.

2.2 “Literary ZUEL” Scholarship for Chinese Learning

Application is open to international students who are enrolled in a Chinese language course at the university or who have studied Chinese on their own in the previous semester and have achieved a certain level of success.

2.3“Honorable ZUEL” Scholarship for Practical Activities

Application is open to individuals or teams of international students studying at the university. Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

2.3.1 Actively participate in various activities, competitions and contests at all levels and achieve excellent results.

2.3.2Actively participate in China’s social volunteering work and have a certain social influence.

2.3.3 Actively participate in the international dissemination of Chinese culture and Chinese stories, and generate a certain influence.

2.3.4 Actively contribute to the development of the university’s enrollment of foreign students and achieve outstanding results.

2.3.5 Other special contributions or advanced deeds.

V.Work arrangement

1.International students submit applications individually or as a team;

2.The International Education Institute conducts qualification review and determines the preliminary list;

3.The expert group for evaluating individual scholarships for international students will review and approve the preliminary evaluation results;

4.Publicity of selection results;

5. Issuing certificates and distributing bonuses.

VI.Work requirements

1. Application materials

1.1 Application Form for Individual Scholarships of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law(Appendix 1);

1.2 Supporting materials, such as scientific research achievements, award certificates, activity certificates, HSK level certificates, etc., all application materials must be obtained between September 30, 2024 and September 30, 2025. If applying for the "Academic Central South" Research and Innovation Scholarship, you must download and fill out Appendix 2.

2. Submission requirements

International students who meet the eligibility criteria and intend to apply are required to submit both electronic and paper application materials before 14:00 on November 21, 2025, in accordance with the following requirements. Late submissions will not be accepted.

2.1 Electronic materials: "Application Form for Individual Scholarships of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law" and supporting materials in compressed electronic format, named as: Single Award Category Name+Student ID+Name, sent to email: gjjyxybridge@163.com .

2.2 Submit the paper version corresponding to the electronic materials mentioned above (copies of the application form and supporting materials) to the International Student Affairs Office of the School of International Education.
