From July 1 to 14, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law hosted Chinese Government Scholarship International Summer School, gathering over 200 students from countries including Russia, Vietnam, Argentina, and Spain for an immersive academic and cultural experience.
Titled "Bridging the Silk Road, Inspiring the Future"the program featured two specialized tracks: the "Silk Road Financial Future Leaders Program"and "Chinese Legal Culture and Diplomatic Practice". These courses provided participants with deep insights into cutting-edge financial trends and China's legal traditions, combining academic learning with hands-on exposure to China's economic and cultural landscape.
Beyond the classroom, the summer school organized field visits to leading institutions including CITIC Futures, Zheshang Bank, and Dongfeng Motor Corporation, where students engaged with professionals and observed real-world applications of financial and legal knowledge. A visit to Hubei Guanzhu Law Firm featured a mock trial that demonstrated China's legal system in action.
Chinese language courses tailored to different proficiency levels were offered throughout the program, enabling deeper communication and cultural understanding. Cultural sessions on calligraphy, traditional painting, and a guided tour of the Hubei Provincial Museum—where artifacts like the Zenghouyi chime bells and the Sword of Goujian left a strong impression—further enriched the students'experience.
The summer school reflects ZUEL's commitment to cultivating global talent with both international vision and cross-cultural empathy. By building a "growth interchange"between China and the world, the university continues to support the development of young professionals who understand and appreciate China's role in the global community.
